I’ve been whittling away at my bookshelves casually for a couple of months now. I posted about my need to revamp my bookshelves (here), and I finally got my bookshelves looking just right. For me. Why, do you ask, does it matter? Because I have OCD when it comes to design and neatness and I don’t feel complete until my apartment has been meddled with on a daily basis. Having unachievable goals helps a lot.
These are a couple tasters of some of my favorite parts of my shelves. Pretty prettiness. Offish pictures will be up later this week. After I actually take them …
Nice sneak peak. I love how you have mixed objects and books together. BTW I just got a copy of "The Crimson Petal and the White" last week. Am enjoying it thus far.
I am afraid my shelves would be very disapointing. I have them in three different rooms and they are all shelved in a boring way.
However am hoping the architect will have plans for better shelving for the new study so they can all be housed in one area and I can have my own mini library.
Hope your mouth is feeling better and you are managing solids with no problems.
Well Christ on a bike, you're the second person I've met to have heard of The Crimson Petal and the White! I am a big fan of it, although it did depress me at times. One of my favorite books still. Did you know they made a mini series? It stars Chris O'Dowd (Irish guy from the IT Crowd) as William. They portray the gritty bits of the book really well.
Ohh my dream is to have a mini library in my home when I grow up. That would be amazing if you could get one sorted in your study. And a fireplace. And a couple wingbacked chairs. In velvet.
