My official real-world blog acknowledgment has come in from the lovely Canadian House & Home. I only discovered my lovely little mention yesterday – to the horror of my coworkers – during working hours. I had a giggle fest at my desk and have been on a little cloud since. A big thank you to Seema and everyone at House & Home for considering my cross stitching / needlepoint and painting posts under their Inexpensive ways to get a chic home section. So excited and flattered.
Rockin’ roll
I feel adding text to this entry is decreasing the awesomeness of the Traditional Tattoo Kitchen Roll by Rocket St George.
Described as “20 meters of fun with this fantastic kitchen roll featuring fabulous traditional tattoo designs”, at £5.50 per roll I am very tempted. But just one roll. And I would actually use it. Sparingly.
Thrifty things – cheese plate
Since we don’t always have picturesque cheese and grapes at hand, our new cheese platter is home to a cluster of pine cones for the moment. But for the sake of this entry, I’ve staged some related imagery. I picked up this petite {and heavy} vintage marble cheese platter in Mrs. Quins Charity Shop, Rathfarnham for €5. I prefer filling it with alternative things though. It gives it more of a terrarium feel. So lovely.
