Hydrangea Girl turns two

This day two years ago it all started with a nudge from some amazing blogs to inspire me to start my own little corner of the internet machine. My first blog post was entitled ‘In the beginning‘, where I wrote about how awkwardly the word ‘blog’ sat in my mouth. At the time I wasn’t sure what my blog would be about, but I created it as a dumping place to share everything that tickled my fancy.
As lame as it sounds, I’m quite proud of my little site as it has helped me focus, encouraged my passion for design, made me become more creative, and taught me to set and more importantly reach personal deadlines.
One thing I’ve enjoyed the most is creating the aesthetics of my blog {god bless Photoshop}. This space has had its share of facelifts, all of which you can see here if you are curiouso.

Happy 2nd birthday baby, you’ve come a long way …

Your blog has had a bit of a facelift in the past 2 years, very nice. Can't wait to read what the next 2 years will feature 🙂

Thank you Mel 🙂 After the wedding I have big bloggable plans and projects. I can't wait to have enough time on my hands to start them. Yippee!

Happy Birthday!! I just joined your blog, after seeing it on PoppyTalk. I'm a mother of four and I am feeling exactly how you felt two years ago…sitting in front of my computer, thinking I want to start my own blog and then I see your post! Its really encouraging. Thank you!

Do it Dharshi! You will quickly find reoccurring themes in your blog posts, and as long as you blog about things that inspire you / you are passionate about, you won't have a dull moment. Blogging is very rewarding I find.

Hook me up with some linkage when you get your site sorted!

Hi Alex! It's Dharshi again. I've got a link for you..http://theladybirdworkshop.blogspot.com.au/ You may notice I started it soon after you replied to me! It looks like butt cos I really don't know what I'm doing. It took me a full day(between feeding my baby) to figure out what a gadget was and how to design my blog space. I haven't told my friends or family about my blog, it remains my little secret hobby for the moment. I think I'm just might be afraid of what they'll think or say. If you have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate your feedback but I know you are busy.

Dharshi your blog is fantastic. In regards to the aesthetics, I adore the muted grey tones you have going on! They really make your photos 'pop'. Mine was nowhere that beautiful when I started out. But as I see, you have an eye for design/fashion, and you'll find yourself tweaking your site here and there – I still do this whenever the mood strikes.

There are loads of people I haven't told about my blog! I'm not intentionally hiding it, I just get very embarrassed when people I know talk to me about it. Cringe!

haha I know exactly what you mean, I think I'll keep it to myself until I'm sure this is something I want to keep doing. Not to make this a love fest or anything but I LOVE your sight and all the cool stuff you have going on, I'm so glad to have stumbled upon you. I am so going to make that mobile for my babies room…when I do I'll post it! Thank you for being my first subscriber!

Oh you best be posting that if you make it, I'd love to see! And subscribing was a no-brainer.

That's it, these e-mail notifications are going into my 'happy' folder for me to read when I feel like shit. You're so sweet.
